Runtime Problems
When attempting to display animations in APT you may get the error "This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual
memory to run". This problem is addressed at the following web page, but we suggest you read the paragraph below also:
Using Authorware 5 and 6 on machines with over 1 gigabyte of RAM
The problem addressed is when the total memory exceeds 2 GB. My computer has 256MB of RAM and I notice that Windows XP
has allocated 384MB of virtual memory. So if Windows XP does the same thing on your machine, and you have 1GB RAM, it
will allocate one and a half times the amount of RAM, ie 1536MB of virtual memory. This totals to 2.5 GB of
memory. You could either try reducing virtual memory to 1024MB, or do what one of our APT customers found to work: he
increased the Initial size of Virtual Memory to 3072MB, whilst having 1GB of RAM, totalling 4GB. The problem went away
after that.
