"COATING MASS CONTROL AT LTV STEEL"

Abstract: Installation of a high-performance coating control system resulted in significant reductions in coating mass variation (71 and 47% for steady and varying line speed, respectively), together with reduced skew coating footage (956%), reduced order change footage (60%) and rejects for coating reasons (99%) as well as less zinc usage.
